Saccades
- Rapide eye movements w/ the purpose of bring objects in to forveal vision.
- Our eyes alway jumps from one fixation to another.
- 3-4 time per second and pause 300-400 ms (fixation)
- Indications a shift on visual spacial attention
- Measures: duration, peak velocity, amplitude, gain, and latency to initiate saccade
Pursuit
- How do we track moving objects
- Measurements of Gain
- compensatory saccades
Changes in pupil diameter
could indicator of:
- interest
- cognitive resources (working memory)
- diameter large when people are interested. You are in an appraisal state, want as much light as possible.
Naturalistic Settings
- refers to viewing scenes and face
- Measures: location, duration, and sequencing of fixation. and distance beween fixations
